Trick Williams isn’t letting the fallout from Sami Zayn’s United States Title win slide — and now he’s bringing outside backup into the situation.

After the chaotic finish on the March 30 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, where Zayn defeated Carmelo Hayes following confusion involving Williams, the story has taken a new turn.

Williams took to Instagram on March 28, 2026, and personally invited Lil Yachty to appear on the April 3 episode of SmackDown at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis — making it clear he’s looking to shake things up after what went down. Williams didn’t hold back in his message, calling out the situation and questioning how Zayn walked away with the title.

“So after last night, I’ve been in deep contemplation about what’s going on around here. And how in the world did the Gingerbread Man walk out with the United States Championship last night?”

He then made the invitation official, bringing Yachty into the mix and hinting that things are about to change. Williams made it clear he wants Yachty in St. Louis to address everything that’s happened — and possibly be part of whatever comes next.

“So this is what we’re gonna do — we about to change the whole dynamic. I want to personally invite my boy, my day one from a long time back, my HBCU brother Lil Yachty. I need you to pull up to SmackDown this week. We in St. Louis — I need you to pull up, talk to these folks, and let them know what’s going on around here. The games are done. Pull up on me, dawg — let’s talk about it.”

So it’s clear that this situation is far from over, and now it’s picking up serious momentum heading into the next SmackDown, with Trick Williams looking to turn controversy into something even bigger with a major appearance.

Do you think bringing Lil Yachty into this storyline is a smart move, or is WWE going too far with celebrity involvement? Drop your thoughts below and let us know.
