Travis Scott’s shocking slap on Cody Rhodes at Elimination Chamber had fans—and even some wrestlers—questioning if the rapper has any business stepping into a WWE ring. But despite the backlash, WWE isn’t pulling the plug on his involvement anytime soon.

On Fightful Select’s Q&A session, Sean Ross Sapp was asked if there’s been any backstage heat over Scott’s brutal strike and whether WWE is reconsidering his future role. His response? WWE is doubling down on Scott’s participation.

“They’re not going to pull the plug on having him involved. He’s done a little training and is expected to do more. They have tentative plans for him to be involved here and there. They’ve been working on this stuff quite a while.”

That means Scott isn’t going anywhere—and if anything, WWE is preparing for him to get even more hands-on in the ring.

Meanwhile, Seth Rollins didn’t hold back when discussing Scott’s wrestling ability, calling him out for his reckless shot at Rhodes. “He doesn’t know what he’s doing in there,” Rollins said on WFAN, adding that if Cody ever gets his hands on Scott, it’ll be “game over.”

“I have mercy on Travis Scott. That is not a man that needs to be in a wrestling ring with these giant humans,” Rollins said while appearing on WFAN.” No offense to him, but he’s a cruiserweight, brother. He can wrestle Rey Mysterio, maybe. He doesn’t know what he’s doing in there. He just whacked him in the side of the head, gave him a big ol’ bruise, busted him open—just awful.”

Rollins also made it clear that Scott is lucky Cody hasn’t gotten his hands on him yet.

“If Cody gets his hands on him, it’s done and dusted. Cody isn’t like Braun Strowman or Andre The Giant, he’s not a massive guy, but he dwarfs Travis Scott. If he can get through Travis’ team of people, it’s game over for him.”

With WrestleMania 41 just weeks away, all eyes are on what’s next for Scott in WWE. Will he step into the ring again, or will Cody find a way to settle the score?
