WWE shook things up in a big way at the 2025 Elimination Chamber event, but the biggest shock came when Travis Scott helped John Cena beat down Cody Rhodes. Now, new details reveal this was just the beginning.
Scott’s WWE involvement has been in the works for months, and sources now confirm he’s been training for an in-ring role. WWE had been planning to use him in a “major angle” since mid-January, though most in the company didn’t know until recently. This all goes beyond his appearance on WWE Raw’s Netflix premiere with Jey Uso or the fact that his single 4×4 is Raw’s official theme song.
During the Elimination Chamber post-show, The Rock was asked if Scott might step into the ring. He didn’t give a direct answer but made it clear the rapper’s WWE journey is far from over.
“Yes, that’s why we’re doing it, absolutely. Good question — long gaming. Look, I love Travis Scott, that’s my guy. Where we have expanded in WWE, I feel like professional wrestling has found its place in culture throughout the decades,” The Rock said. “I grew up in wrestling, we all remember rock n wrestling — professional wrestling is tapping into a unique time — I’m not sure what we’ll name this era, but we’ll figure it out, we’ll come up with something cool. I feel like with Travis, Travis loves the business, he loves pro wrestling, and he’s a culture guy.”
WWE sources have confirmed via Fightful Select Scott has been training at a WWE legend’s wrestling school, with discussions already happening about future matches. There’s no exact timetable on when he might make his in-ring debut, but it’s clear WWE is making moves to make it happen.
Scott has been a polarizing figure, especially following the tragic Astroworld festival. Now, he’s stepping into an entirely different world, one where he’ll have to prove himself in a new way.
