CM Punk won’t be on Monday Night RAW tonight—and now we know why.
According to PWInsider, Punk is currently unavailable because he’s busy filming his next movie role. The former WWE Champion is on the set of Netflix’s upcoming romantic comedy The Bodyguard, where he’s been cast in the role of “Doghouse”—a physically intimidating member of the security detail, known for his loyalty and humor.
So no, this isn’t a last-minute swerve or a WWE creative decision. Punk simply isn’t in Kansas City for the December 8, 2025 RAW taping at all.
His absence comes just five days before Saturday Night’s Main Event, where John Cena is set to wrestle his final match against GUNTHER. Punk had been involved in segments with both men in recent weeks, so many fans assumed he’d have a role in tonight’s go-home show. Instead, he’s playing bodyguard on a movie set while Cena’s farewell builds without him.
WWE RAW airs live tonight at 8 PM ET on Netflix, as WWE enters the final stretch before Cena’s farewell clash. Ringside News will be providing live play-by-play coverage of this week’s show over in our WWE Monday Night RAW coverage hub.
