Another rising star from the indie wrestling scene is heading to WWE—and this time, it’s one of Spain’s top prospects. Zozaya, who’s been making waves across Europe, has officially signed with WWE and is set to begin the next chapter of his career with the company after an emotional farewell to his hometown promotion, La Triple W.
In a heartfelt post shared on Twitter by a close friend, Zozaya’s departure from Madrid was confirmed. The message reflected both pride and sadness, knowing the Spanish standout is chasing a lifelong dream—but might not return to the ring where he built his legacy.
“The day has arrived. Zozaya bids farewell to his home, to Madrid, to La Triple W. It’s a moment of mixed emotions; on one hand, we have the joy of seeing him fulfill his dreams, and on the other, that sadness of not knowing if he’ll ever set foot in this ring again. Thank you, Zozi, triumph in WWE ♥️”
Zozaya first caught WWE’s eye during the March 29 tryout at the UK Performance Center in London. His performance stood out among dozens of hopefuls, thanks to his polished in-ring skills and previous work with top UK promotions like PROGRESS Wrestling and RevPro. He managed to build his reputation while still finishing university—earning even more respect from fans and talent scouts alike.
Back in March, sources had already predicted Zozaya would sign with WWE and begin training by September if everything went as planned. Now, it’s confirmed: Zozaya is WWE-bound.
While it remains to be seen where Zozaya will land—be it NXT Europe, NXT U.S., or beyond—his journey from Madrid’s indie scene to WWE’s global stage is officially underway.
