A major independent wrestling star might be making her way back to AEW.
According to Fightful Select, Megan Bayne, a GCW regular, has been discussed within AEW circles, with reports suggesting she was spotted at this week’s AEW Dynamite in Cincinnati, Ohio. While details are still being verified, this news has fans speculating about Bayne’s potential return to the company.
Back in November 2023, rumors swirled that Bayne had signed with AEW. By summer 2024, creative pitches were reportedly being discussed, but it was later revealed that she was no longer under contract.
Bayne previously competed in several matches for AEW, most of which aired on AEW Dark and AEW Dark: Elevation. Her last appearance came in June 2023, where she teamed with Emi Sakura in a dark match against Maki Itoh and Willow Nightingale following an AEW Rampage taping.
If the reports are true and Bayne is indeed returning to AEW, it could mark a fresh chapter in her career with the company. With her proven skills and indie success, Bayne could add a dynamic edge to AEW’s women’s division.
