WWE is always looking to sign the hottest free agents and bolster their already deep roster, as the company is determined to have the best talent possible. That’s why it’s no surprise that WWE is interested in signing a former TNA star who parted ways with the company recently.

While speaking during a recent episode of Live Q&A on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, WrestleVotes revealed that WWE has shown interest in signing former MLW Champion Alex Hammerstone. While it’s unclear whether Hammerstone is actively seeking a WWE contract or planning to spend more time on the independent scene, the company definitely has interest in him.

“I know there’s interest with Alex Hammerstone. I don’t know if he’s looking for a WWE contract, if he’s going to spend some time on the indies or whatnot, but I know there’s interest from WWE in Alex Hammerstone.”

Hammerstone officially finished up his TNA Wrestling run on the March 13 episode of TNA iMPACT. Alex Hammerstone wrestled his final match for the promotion against Joe Hendry, falling short in a World Title match that was taped at Full Sail University in February.

Alex Hammerstone signed with TNA in February 2024 but had a short run due to injury setbacks. After suffering a knee injury at TNA Turning Point in November, he underwent surgery in December and was cleared to compete by February and as noted above, had his final match against Joe Hendry.

As part of the TNA-NXT partnership, Hammerstone made a brief appearance in NXT back in September 2024, where he faced Oba Femi. He later secured a victory over Tony D’Angelo via count-out. Therefore, it remains to be seen if Hammerstone will sign with WWE in 2025.
