Tony Schiavone is focusing on what really matters—his wife, Lois, and her road to recovery. The AEW announcer recently opened up about her health battle on his What Happened When? podcast, revealing that she’s still healing from hip surgery but making progress.
“She’s actually moving quite well now. But it’s slow, it really is,” Schiavone shared, explaining that while there’s no official rehab program, doctors have advised her to walk as part of her recovery. “So, the recovery time—I guess—is based on how much you get out and move. So, I don’t know what the recovery time is, but as far as pain management is concerned, I’m thinking that the pain has been subsiding.”
Schiavone noted that Lois has been improving enough to reduce her medication, which is a big step forward. However, he admitted there’s still no clear timeline on when she’ll fully recover.
His absence from the January 8 episode of AEW Dynamite had sparked speculation online, with some fans theorizing that he was suspended over a social media post. Schiavone quickly shut down those rumors, making it clear that he was off TV to be by his wife’s side.
Tony Schiavone is back to work, but his heart is clearly at home as Lois continues her recovery. With no set timeline for her full healing, it’s all about patience and progress. One thing’s for sure—he’s standing by her every step of the way. Here’s hoping she’s back to feeling her best soon!
