Tony Schiavone isn’t interested in joining the WWE Hall of Fame—no matter who asks.
On the January 7, 2026 episode of his What Happened When podcast, Schiavone was asked if he’d accept a WWE Hall of Fame induction if Triple H ever reached out after his retirement. His answer was blunt.
“I appreciate you saying that, but the answer is no. I’m in a Hall of Fame. That’s enough.”
This is not surprising coming from Schiavone, who’s been vocal for years about his loyalty to AEW and disinterest in modern WWE. Back in October 2025, he even revealed that he avoids watching any current WWE or NXT programming—not out of hate, but because he wants to stay creatively independent in his work.
“I have no interest in watching WWE or NXT current stuff… because I want us to cut our own path and not try to be anything like them,” he said at the time.
For Schiavone, the goal is creative clarity. He wants to call matches and help build AEW’s identity without outside influence.
“I’ll just watch our stuff and not let anything they do in the WWE influence how I call a match or what I do.”
Ultimately, when it comes to honoring his legacy, Tony Schiavone is content with the recognition he’s already received outside of WWE, so a WWE Hall of Fame induction is definitely not in his future.
