It turns out Tony Nese has been doing more than just competing in the ring — he’s also been helping shape AEW’s product from behind the scenes.

According to Fightful Select, “The Premier Athlete” has been serving as a coach and agent within All Elite Wrestling. While his role hadn’t been publicly discussed until now, it’s something he’s been doing for quite some time.

“He was listed this past Saturday for Collision on a match, and when we asked in AEW, we were told that he had been working in that role for quite some time, it just wasn’t publicly known.”

Nese has been less active in the ring over the last two years but remains a semi-regular presence on Ring of Honor TV, teaming with longtime partner Ariya Daivari. His in-ring career spans 20 years, with runs across the independent circuit, TNA, WWE, and AEW.
