AEW President Tony Khan unexpectedly gave a public nod to Vince Russo’s work in JCW during a social media exchange that started as an open invitation for him to appear on Jonathan Coachman’s podcast.

The interaction began when former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman publicly invited Khan to appear on The Coach and Bro podcast, which he co-hosts with Vince Russo. Coachman suggested that appearing on their show could offer a different type of discussion compared to other interviews, emphasizing the value of hearing outside perspectives.

Khan responded directly to the invitation and showed interest in appearing on the program, but what stood out most was his unsolicited praise for Russo’s current work in JCW. Khan made it clear that he not only respected Russo’s past contributions, but that he is actively following his present-day projects.

“I would love to come on the show with you + @THEVinceRusso, Coach! I’ve been a fan of both of yours for many years! Also I think that Vince is doing a tremendous job on @jcwlunacy, which I enjoy very much.”

Whether the podcast appearance ultimately happens or not, Khan’s praise of Russo’s work in JCW is already generating conversation about how closely industry leaders monitor each other’s projects and how public respect across company lines can influence perception within the wrestling world.
