It’s been over three years since Tony Khan bought Ring of Honor, and fans are still wondering when the promotion will finally land a real television deal. Despite early promises of “big news,” nothing major has materialized—and according to Dave Meltzer, it all comes down to one thing: money.

Meltzer responded to a fan on X who asked about the ongoing delay. He explained that TV talks have happened, but no offer has matched Khan’s expectations:

“If it could get one that pays enough, it would. There have been talks, but Khan never got the offer he wanted.”

Khan himself previously tried to stir up excitement about ROH’s media future during a pre-Full Gear press call, pointing to Chris Jericho’s time as ROH World Champion as a major selling point for potential media partners. He claimed that Jericho’s involvement was helping drive negotiations forward:

“Media rights excitement is building. There has been serious interest.”

Yet months later, Ring of Honor’s weekly show is still airing only on HonorClub, with no major streaming or network deal in place.

Three years, serious names, and still no major home. If Khan is holding out for a big payday, it’s starting to look like he might be waiting a while longer.

Do you think Tony Khan is playing it smart by holding out for the right deal—or has ROH missed its window? Let us know what you think in the comments.
