Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. hasn’t been seen on AEW television in months, and fans have been speculating non-stop about her future. Some even started fantasy booking a WWE jump after she removed AEW from her social media profile and skipped out on AEW’s Pittsburgh event—her hometown. But if you’ve been expecting her to walk through the doors at WWE anytime soon, it’s time to pump the brakes.
Sean Ross Sapp put a firm stop to the speculation during the Debunkathon segment of Fightful Select’s Backstage Report. He addressed claims that WWE and Britt Baker had been talking behind the scenes and set the record straight.
“There are fraud, catfish accounts saying that WWE and Britt Baker had talks. They didn’t.”
That one sentence just crushed a hundred Reddit threads and fantasy graphics. According to Sapp, not only is Britt still part of AEW, there have been zero talks between her and WWE. That means her removal of AEW from her profiles was either a personal reset or something else entirely—not an early sign of jumping ship.
Even Dave Meltzer weighed in, speculating that her no-show in Pittsburgh might indicate AEW is done using her, while also questioning whether WWE would even be a good fit in the long term.
“Baker has removed AEW from her social media profile. When she wasn’t at the Pittsburgh show I took that as she’s not going to be used again. Whether it was they thought she was headed to WWE… she’d get a huge pop at first but in other ways it may be difficult long-term because of the style difference.”
Despite all the drama and doubt, Tony Khan just made it absolutely clear that Baker’s not going anywhere. In an interview with Josh Martinez of Z100 New York, the AEW President confirmed that she’s still part of the team—and he hopes to see her back soon.
“Britt Baker, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., and what a great star in AEW Dr. Britt Baker has been and she is still a fantastic, fantastic wrestling star and she’s been away from AEW for a while but still very much with us and at some point, hopefully soon, I’d love to see Dr. Britt Baker come back.”
For those keeping score, Britt’s last match in AEW was in November 2024 on Dynamite, where she defeated Penelope Ford. Since then, she’s been cleared to compete, but just hasn’t been booked.
So no, she’s not in WWE talks. Yes, she’s still signed to AEW. And as of now, Britt Baker’s next move remains uncertain—but the door to an AEW return is still wide open.
