AEW President Tony Khan is truly passionate about professional wrestling and no one can doubt that even for a second. That said, quite a few fans have turned on him and do not view him the same way as before due to his booking decisions over the years. Now Tony Khan made it clear he loves getting death threats.
It is no secret that Tony Khan has quite a lot of haters because of the way he has been booking AEW over the past couple of years, in addition to AEW simply lacking proper storylines at times.
While speaking on The Dan Le Batard Show, Tony Khan was asked if he was going to be ”drowning in death threats” because of the decisions he made in AEW. Khan admitted that he didn’t expect death threats, but loved them nonetheless as he simply loves how passionate fans can be.
”Not really, but I think it’s great. To be honest, the rancor of sports fans is across all sports, it’s something I have seen in football, the NFL, in the Premier League. For us it’s a great thing that we have passionate fans that really care about AEW that really gets excited about our shows. I love it.”
AEW Dynamite will be going head-to-head against NXT tonight, as many fans feel NXT will finally crush Dynamite in ratings. We will have to wait and see if Dynamite will be able to thwart NXT in the end.
