WrestleMania 43 will be taking place in Riyadh in 2027 and WWE is obviously making a big deal out of it. However, Tony Khan decided to hijack the narrative by promoting AEW, and he got called out for his actions.

Immediately after WWE’s announcement, Tony Khan took to Twitter and promoted AEW’s upcoming shows, saying that All Out will be an amazing pay-per-view next Saturday afternoon.

Before that, he reminded fans to watch September to Remember on Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite on TBS and HBO Max, and also noted an excellent Saturday AEW Collision episode airing tomorrow.

“Thank you all who watch AEW! #AEWAllOut will be a tremendous ppv show next Saturday Afternoon! But first, don’t miss September to Remember Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite THIS WEDNESDAY on TBS + HBOMax, + we have an EXCELLENT Saturday #AEWCollision you won’t want to miss TOMORROW!”

Obviously, Tony Khan decided to take advantage of the fact that lots of people aren’t happy about WrestleMania 43 taking place in Saudi Arabia, since they accuse WWE of selling out and ruining a tradition and harming other companies during WrestleMania weekend.

One fan pointed out how it was perfect timing on Tony Khan’s part, saying, “Tony the timing was perfect.” Tony Khan responded by saying how timing is a big part of life, as he said, “Timing is a big part of life, Seshvar. #AEWCollision #AEWDynamite #AEWAllOut.”

While WWE prepares for the first WrestleMania outside North America, Tony Khan is keeping AEW focused. His well-timed tweets helped draw attention to AEW and away from WWE’s Saudi news. Some see it as smart marketing, but we’ll have to see whether it will backfire in the end.
