Britt Baker hasn’t been seen on AEW TV in over a year—but Tony Khan says she’s not done just yet.
The AEW President finally addressed Baker’s extended absence during a February 2026 appearance on The Battleground Podcast, and while he didn’t drop a date, he did tease that the former Women’s Champion will be back—eventually.
“I really like Britt a lot,” Khan said, after being asked point-blank if fans can expect to see her again. “There’s so many exciting things happening in the women’s division… and Britt’s somebody I really like and respect a lot.”
He then tied her return to AEW’s expanded weekly schedule, noting the company now has “four hours of TV with Dynamite and Collision” and is opening the door for more opportunities—especially with an influx of new female signings.
“Britt’s still somebody very highly regarded and respected here in AEW,” he continued. “So I would expect to see Britt back in AEW. I just don’t want to say when.”
It’s the most direct comment Khan’s made in months, and it lands just weeks after Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp poured cold water on return rumors—saying there were “no creative plans” for Baker and that her name hadn’t been brought up internally in a long time. He also claimed she was healthy the last time they spoke, which was “ages ago.”
Britt’s last match was a win over Penelope Ford in November 2024. Since then, she’s been cleared to wrestle but kept off TV, skipped a Pittsburgh show, and even wiped AEW from her social media. Fans speculated everything from a WWE jump to backstage drama—but if you ask Tony, it’s just a matter of timing.
So what’s the real story? Is Britt Baker on the verge of a massive comeback—or is AEW just stringing fans along? Drop your thoughts below and let us know if The Doctor should make her house call soon.
