Tony Khan isn’t done growing AEW’s global footprint—and Europe is next on his radar.

In a recent interview with Dean Moses of amNY, the AEW President made it clear that international expansion is a big part of the company’s future. After already breaking records in the UK and holding successful events in Cardiff, Wales, Khan says he wants to keep the momentum going across the continent.

“We built a lot. It’s been six years of AEW, and again, it feels like we started just yesterday,” Khan said.

Khan emphasized that while the United Kingdom has been good to AEW, there’s plenty more ground to cover overseas.

“I’m very interested in taking AEW and visiting more of Europe. I think there are more opportunities there. We’ve had great shows in the UK, particularly with shows in London. We’ve set records at Wembley Stadium, and we’ve had great events in Cardiff, Wales. And I’m really excited about this year taking AEW to Manchester for the first time. I think there’s more opportunities there internationally, for AEW…I think that’s very attractive, just international expansion.”

AEW’s success with annual overseas trips—including a recent expansion into Australia—has proven that international fans are more than ready to support the product. With return events in England and Wales already confirmed for December, it sounds like AEW is just getting started in Europe.

Tony Khan’s comments reflect a growing ambition to make AEW a true global wrestling powerhouse—beyond just North America.
