Mina Shirakawa is officially All Elite.

After weeks of speculation and a standout performance on AEW Dynamite, AEW President Tony Khan took to Twitter following the May 21, 2025 episode to make it official.

Shirakawa, who pinned Toni Storm in a recent four-way match and is set to challenge for the AEW Women’s Championship at Double or Nothing, now has the graphic that seals the deal.

“She’s challenging for the AEW Women’s World Title at #AEWDoN THIS SUNDAY, and after her impressive win on #AEWDynamite + her altercation with World Champion Timeless Toni Storm tonight, now it’s official: @MinaShirakawa is ALL ELITE!” Khan wrote on X (formerly Twitter), accompanied by the traditional “All Elite” graphic featuring Shirakawa in full gear.

This signing caps off a dramatic two-week stretch for Shirakawa. After fan backlash over a controversial new entrance theme at the May 14 Beach Break special, Khan made a rare in-show call to change her music back—confirming days later that the theme would be dropped permanently. The theme wasn’t produced by Mikey Rukus, AEW’s usual music head, and the online response was enough to prompt an immediate fix.

The move stirred debate online, with Alfred Konuwa accusing Khan of giving in to “nerdrage from bots,” while Ricochet jumped in to defend AEW, tweeting, “Stuff like this shows me the level of fcking stupidity that infects the IWC.”*

Still, none of the noise has slowed Shirakawa down. She’s now a full-time member of the AEW roster, and she’ll challenge Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s Championship this Sunday at Double or Nothing.
