The tribute to Dean Rasmussen isn’t over yet—Action Wrestling’s DEAN~! event series is officially continuing in 2025, with two more shows locked in.
The original DEAN~! show took place during WrestleMania weekend in April 2024, honoring the late DVDVR legend Dean Rasmussen, who passed away in May 2023. AEW President Tony Khan praised the tribute during the ROH Supercard of Honor post-show press conference, and now he’s stepping in to help keep it going.
During a recent episode of the Way of the Blade podcast, Phil Schneider and Tony Khan confirmed both DEAN~! 2 and DEAN~! 3 are officially happening this year.
“We’re announcing not just DEAN~! 2—but also DEAN~! 3—in collaboration with our friends at AEW,” Schneider said. “DEAN~! 2 will take place May 24 at 8 p.m. local time outside the Scottsdale Arena. It’s going to be a free event.”
Names already confirmed for the May event include Mad Dog Connelly, Gringo Loco, and the Coven of the Goat. AEW talent will also be featured in special matchups against indie names, just like the first show.
Schneider also revealed DEAN~! 3 will go down in September at the legendary ECW Arena in Philadelphia. Tony Khan added that he’s planning it to land the same weekend as ROH Death Before Dishonor, which takes place September 5, 2025.
Khan and Schneider both made it clear they’re putting together another lineup filled with talent who helped make the original show a true tribute to Dean’s legacy.
