Tony Khan is shutting down the skeptics and making it crystal clear — AEW is thriving in 2025 like never before.

The AEW President didn’t hold back during his interview on the Battleground Podcast, claiming that the company’s product, growth, and fan reception have hit a new high. Khan acknowledged that many fans noticed AEW’s recent hot streak after the success of Double or Nothing, but from his view, the resurgence started long before that.

“I think it’s a lot better than it was a few years ago because there was Dynamite — you didn’t have Collision. So, you know, it’s been something new for us, growing into doing a new show and having now four hours of AEW,” Khan explained. “When we first started, we were just doing two hours of Dynamite, and that was fantastic. And I think we’ve been able to try to hit that same consistency, and really, I think Dynamite’s a better show now than it’s ever been.”

With Collision now fully established as AEW’s Saturday night counterpart to Dynamite, Khan believes both flagship shows are delivering on all cylinders.

“Collision, I think, is a better show now than it’s ever been too. And consistently throughout 2025, both shows have been really strong. I think for many years when we started up, we had great pay-per-views and we had two great hours of TV every Wednesday night. And now, we’re delivering something very different — twice as much TV every week.”

Khan didn’t shy away from crediting AEW’s new Simulcast deal for the momentum boost, explaining that offering AEW content on streaming through Max alongside traditional TBS and TNT broadcasts has opened doors to new audiences.

“It’s a hard thing to do, and it’s something that this year in 2025, I think we’ve done a great job on. So I actually think it’s better than it’s ever been to your point,” Khan added. “That’s why we haven’t used that expression ‘restore the feeling’ in a long time. I think it’s been that way for a long time.”

While AEW still faces its fair share of online criticism and tribal fan debates, Khan emphasized that behind the scenes, the company feels stronger, more consistent, and more energized than ever before.
