AEW’s All In: Texas pay-per-view is just a few days away and before the show, there have been concerns about the weather and how it’d affect the performers. While such concerns continue, Tony Khan has now made it clear there’s no reason to worry.
During the Maggie and Perloff Show, one of the hosts pointed out to Tony Khan that at All In Texas, it wouldn’t be extremely hot according to their weather app, but it would still be pretty warm. They said it might not affect the fans much, but the performers would definitely be sweating a lot.
“So Tony, I looked at my weather app — it’s not gonna be so, so super hot. It’s definitely gonna be warm. Not for the fans, but definitely the performers are gonna be sweating a lot here.”
Immediately addressing the concerns, Tony Khan reminded them there was nothing to worry about, since Globe Life Field has a roof. He stated that as a sports reporter, they should already know that.
“There’s a roof! It’s a sports show. You’re a sports reporter, you know there’s a roof at Globe Life Field!”
This comes after Dave Meltzer revealed his concerns for the weather at All In: Texas on July 12th, where he stated that the weather could directly impact the show’s action, especially for high-flyers.
“I do want to bring that up as far as the Saturday show that no one’s talked about, is that they are in Texas. It is July. I lived in Texas not far from there. It is hot as hell. You’re gonna have a lot of matches with a lot of sweat and a lot of moisture and a lot of springboard guys. You can look up and down the card at the guys that do springboard stuff. I hope that they — I hope that there’s no problems there and guys don’t slip off the ropes, especially on this biggest show of the year for AEW.”
With Tony Khan assuring everyone that the stadium will have a roof, fans don’t have to worry about the Texas heat slowing down the wrestlers or the action. The only thing left to stress about is who will win in AEW’s biggest matches of the summer, so we’ll have to see how the show will turn out.
