Tony Khan is finally weighing in after Brody King started getting mainstream attention thanks to loud crowd chants that have repeatedly broken out during AEW shows.

During the AEW Revolution media call on March 12, 2026, Khan was asked about King getting more attention and the anti-ICE chants that have surfaced at several AEW events. Instead of downplaying the situation, Khan spoke highly of King and said the reaction from fans reflects the kind of connection the wrestler has built with audiences.

Khan first pointed out that King has spent years building a strong reputation both inside and outside of wrestling, explaining that the attention he’s getting now didn’t come out of nowhere. Khan even recalled seeing King appear in other entertainment projects years ago, referencing a past appearance the wrestler made on a comedy show.

When asked directly about King’s outspoken personality and the reaction it’s getting from fans, Khan said the wrestler’s views come from a genuine place and that authenticity is something audiences clearly respond to. Khan also acknowledged that King has been getting attention far beyond the wrestling bubble lately, but he believes the coverage ultimately reflects how talented the AEW star is.

Instead of criticizing the crowd reaction, Khan made it really clear that fan expression has always been part of the live wrestling atmosphere, as he isn’t against the “F*** ICE” chants during AEW events.

The comments come after anti-ICE chants repeatedly broke out during AEW events earlier this year. The reaction gained mainstream attention during AEW Grand Slam Australia on February 14 and later appeared again on episodes of AEW Dynamite — including one instance where the chants interrupted a backstage promo from King.

With the chants continuing to pop up in multiple cities — and even drawing attention outside the wrestling world — Brody King has unexpectedly found himself at the center of one of AEW’s most talked-about crowd reactions of the year. Whether the chants keep going or eventually fade away, one thing is clear — the noise around Brody King isn’t dying down anytime soon.

Do you think chants like this are just part of the energy of live wrestling crowds, or do they distract from the show? Let us know your thoughts below.
