Tony Khan has acknowledged the legendary career of Christopher Daniels following what is believed to be his final match in AEW. The AEW President took to social media to thank Daniels, who competed in a Texas Death Match against Hangman Page at AEW Collision: Maximum Carnage in what now appears to be his swan song.

The match was nothing short of punishing. Daniels was busted open early, and despite his best efforts, Hangman Page put him down for the 10-count after a Tombstone on a chair, a Dead Eye on a chair, and a Buckshot Lariat to the back of the head. To make matters worse, after the bell rang, Hangman hit Daniels with an Angel’s Wings, a move Daniels made famous throughout his storied career.

Shortly after, Tony Khan took to social media, writing a heartfelt message about Daniels’ contributions to AEW. Khan’s tribute only added to the speculation that Daniels has officially wrestled his last match.

Daniels, who signed with AEW in 2019, has been a key figure in both AEW’s talent relations and as an in-ring competitor. Over his 30-year career, he left an undeniable mark on promotions like WWE, WCW, ROH, and TNA, where he helped revolutionize the X-Division and captured multiple championships.

Reports surfaced on Friday that Daniels has effectively retired, marking the end of an era for one of wrestling’s most respected veterans.

Tony Khan’s message was a reminder of the impact Daniels has had on AEW and the industry as a whole. With Daniels stepping away, how will you remember his career? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
