The first full-length trailer for Queen of the Ring is here, and it’s giving fans an up-close look at the story of Mildred Burke, the groundbreaking wrestler who paved the way for women in the sport. The film promises a deep dive into Burke’s journey from small-town single mother to the first million-dollar female athlete in professional wrestling.

Set against the backdrop of the 1930s to the 1950s, Queen of the Ring stars Emily Bett Rickards (Arrow) as Burke, with modern wrestling stars stepping into the roles of her contemporaries.

The Cast of Wrestling Legends Includes:

  • Kamille (AEW) as June Byers, Burke’s storied rival and three-time Women’s World Champion.
  • Britt Baker (AEW) as Debbie Nichols, a star wrestler from Burke’s era.
  • Toni Storm (AEW) as Clara Mortensen, who later transitioned to Hollywood.
  • Trinity “Naomi” Fatu (WWE) as Ethel Johnson, the first African-American women’s champion and a true trailblazer.

The official synopsis promises a story filled with grit and determination:
“In a time when pro wrestling for women was illegal across the country, a small-town single mother embraces the danger to change culture as she dominates America’s most masculine sport, becoming the first million-dollar female athlete in history.”
