Toni Storm isn’t just playing a character on AEW television — she’s become “Timeless.”
AEW’s black-and-white diva of delusion has fully leaned into her Old Hollywood meltdown, and according to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, what you’re seeing on-screen isn’t just scripted drama — it’s Toni Storm completely embodying the role.
“RJ City also heavily contributes to the Timeless Toni Storm character, but it’s not a character that just anyone can do. I can tell you from doing media with Toni Storm that even unscripted, she does a lot of that herself. The promos themselves seem to be collaborative efforts.”
That’s the key. While AEW President Tony Khan helped mold the overall aesthetic — inspired by films like All About Eve and Sunset Boulevard — it’s Storm who brings the character to life with her own instincts and improvisation. Even in interviews, she doesn’t break. The camera goes on, and “Timeless” takes over.
Behind the scenes, RJ City has become a trusted creative voice, but Storm handles the performance with complete control. Her delivery is unhinged in the best way — and it’s not something that could be handed to just anyone. Sources believe that’s exactly why the character works: it isn’t tightly scripted or fed through a teleprompter. It’s collaborative, fluid, and completely inhabited by Storm herself.
Storm recently competed in the finals of the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Title Tournament alongside Mina Shirakawa, falling short to Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale. But in true Hollywood fashion, even in defeat, she managed to steal the show.
This isn’t just gimmick work — it’s performance art. And Toni Storm is making it look effortless.
