Toni Storm Declares She’s a Better Champion Than Mercedes Moné — and Everyone Else

Toni Storm has been on an absolute tear since she reclaimed the AEW Women’s Championship after defeating Mariah May at AEW Grand Slam: Australia. Her skills cannot be denied, and now she has claimed that she’s not only a better champion than Mercedes Moné, she’s a better champion than anyone out there.

While speaking to MuscleManMalcolm, Toni Storm was asked who the better champion was between her and Mercedes Moné. She responded by saying she was obviously the better champion, not just compared to Mercedes, but compared to any champion. She added that it shouldn’t even be a question, saying, “Obviously, I am a better champion than not just Mercedes, but any kind of champion. Number one, that can’t possibly be a question.”

Despite what Toni Storm has claimed, it’s to be noted that Mercedes AEW is already a bona fide legend in the business for many, as she is currently the TBS Champion, NJPW Women’s STRONG Champion, as well as the Revolution Pro Undisputed British Women’s Champion.

Toni Storm’s comments have added even more excitement to the AEW women’s division, showing just how competitive things are right now. Whether she’s really the top champion is still up for debate, but there’s no doubt she’s getting a lot of attention with both her words and her performances.

With the chance that Toni Storm could face Mercedes if Mercedes wins the Owen Hart Cup tournament next month, fans are definitely waiting to see if that big match will happen.
