AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm is riding high as one of the top names in the company, but don’t expect her to ever show up back in WWE. The “Timeless” star made it crystal clear—WWE is in the rearview mirror, and she’s not looking back.
Storm, who left WWE in late 2021 after a frustrating run, has since reinvented herself in AEW. Her “Timeless” persona has become one of the most unique characters in pro wrestling, and she’s already racked up four AEW Women’s World Championship reigns.
Speaking on The Sandman’s Podcast, Storm was asked if returning to WWE was on the table. Her answer was short and sharp.
“No. And that’s no offense to them. I think they’re great, and I understand them for exactly what they are.”
Storm didn’t trash WWE—but she made it clear the fit just isn’t right. “They’re a machine, they’re a business, and I just don’t fit in with their whole shtick, and that’s cool.” Despite the firm “no,” Storm still showed respect to the talent working there and the grind they endure. “I love it and I love a lot of the people that work there. And it’s like, yes, get that money, get that power.”
After walking out in 2021, Storm found her creative stride in AEW, debuting her “Timeless” character in 2023 and immediately capturing fans’ attention with her throwback Hollywood starlet vibe. She’s since called AEW her forever home, stating she sees herself as a “lifer” with the company.
Toni Storm isn’t just closing the door on WWE—she’s slammed it shut, locked it, and tossed the key into the sea.
