PWInsider reports that Tommaso Ciampa is in Birmingham, Alabama to undergo surgery this week.
Ciampa is reportedly suffering from a torn ACL but there’s no exact indication on the severity of the injury or how long he is expected to be out of action. It’s being said that he could possibly be out for a significant amount of time but they won’t know for sure until he undergoes the operation.
Ciampa was set for a big heel push in NXT after he turned on his partner Johnny Gargano. He has been promised a prominent position on the roster once he returns to action.
