Tommaso Ciampa isn’t wasting any time moving forward after WWE.

Following confirmation of his exit, Ciampa quietly launched new merchandise on his Pro Wrestling Tees store, adding five new T-shirt designs and a hoodie built around the names “Psycho Killer” and “Psycho Kid.” The branding appears intentional, especially considering Ciampa filed trademarks for “Psycho Killer” and “Psycho King” on January 21 — signaling that he’s positioning this as his identity going forward outside WWE.

The “Psycho Killer” nickname isn’t new to longtime fans, but the timing of the merch drop makes it clear this is the direction he’s leaning into for the next phase of his career.

News of Ciampa’s WWE departure began circulating at the start of 2026, and he confirmed the decision last week with a public statement thanking the company and those he worked with. The 40-year-old also made it clear that he’s far from finished, stating that he believes he still has another decade left in the ring.

Along with that announcement, Ciampa opened the door for bookings across the board — including appearances, signings, photo ops, seminars, film projects, television work, fitness collaborations, sponsorships, and more.

Where he actually lands in the wrestling world remains open, but there has already been chatter about potential next steps. Dave Meltzer addressed the situation while discussing Ciampa’s future.

“There is talk of him trying to get into New Japan,” Meltzer wrote. “He’d fit in style wise with AEW but AEW has such a large roster filled with top talent so it’s a tough place to break through. The fact he’s pushing indie bookings would seem to indicate he didn’t leave for AEW and a deal there, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see such a deal happen given Tony Khan signing so many people and he’s a strong in-ring wrestler.”

Between the new trademarks, the fresh merch, and immediate availability for bookings, Ciampa is clearly treating this as a full reset rather than a quiet exit. The question now isn’t whether he’s serious about the next chapter — it’s where that chapter actually begins.
