Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt are currently TNA’s commentary team and they’ve been exceptional in their roles. That’s why it’s no surprise they have signed contract extensions with TNA Wrestling.
According to Jon Alba of Sports Illustrated, the announcers for TNA Wrestling will be staying with the company for the foreseeable future. TNA President Carlos Silva confirmed in an upcoming interview with The Takedown on SI that both Hannifan and Rehwoldt recently signed contract extensions.
It was noted that the exact length of the new deals wasn’t shared. Carlos Silva also said that McKenzie Mitchell will continue as TNA’s ring announcer.
Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt have been calling TNA matches since 2022, making them one of the company’s longest-running commentary teams. Hannifan joined in January 2022, replacing Matt Striker, while Rehwoldt stepped away from wrestling to take over the color commentary role from D’Lo Brown.
With Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt staying on, TNA Wrestling is keeping a commentary team that has played a big role in its success. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see how Hannifan and Rehwoldt will continue to perform in their role in the coming years.
