TNA Wrestling is gearing up to make a lot of noise with their AMC debut tonight. They have re-signed some important roster members as well. That being said, they will do it without one key member of their roster.

As TNA Wrestling kicks off a new chapter on Thursday night as TNA iMPACT! airs live on AMC for the first time, Steve Maclin won’t be there. The January 15 broadcast will go down at the Curtis Culwell Center in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

One absence stands out before the show goes live. Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that Steve Maclin was not part of the AMC debut. That raises questions given his history with the company and his role in recent years.

Maclin’s resume makes the omission a hard one to ignore. He has held the Impact World Championship once and won the TNA International Championship twice, including as the inaugural champion. With TNA settling into its new home, his absence is something fans will keep an eye on as the company shapes what this next era looks like.

The move to AMC puts TNA Wrestling in front of a wider audience through AMC and AMC+. For years, fans followed the show across different networks and platforms, many of them being forced to bootleg the broadcast because they simply didn’t get AXS TV, the company’s previous home. Landing on a mainstream channel signals a reset and a push for growth.

The debut episode leans into TNA Wrestling’s past, present, and future. AJ Styles, Nic Nemeth, and Matt Hardy are all part of the night. This will be a historic night, but Steve Maclin will have to miss out.
