After nearly two years of cross-brand shockers and dream matches with WWE’s NXT, TNA Wrestling is breaking away and going full throttle into its own future—and it starts with a monster new home on AMC.
In a major development, TNA and AMC just confirmed the news: the company’s flagship weekly show will officially premiere as “Thursday Night iMPACT!” on January 15, 2026, broadcasting live from Dallas, TX.
“We are super excited to bring the in-ring excitement, energy and drama of TNA Wrestling to AMC,” said TNA President Carlos Silva in the press release. “TNA heads into 2026 the hottest it has ever been.”
The multi-year deal is said to be worth around $30 million, according to media exec Blake Avignon, who previously broke the news of WWE’s AAA acquisition.
“Sources: TNA is headed to AMC. The multi-year U.S. rights deal is finalized and is expected to land around $30M,” Avignon revealed.
This deal doesn’t just mean prime-time TV. It means exclusivity. Starting next month, AMC will carry “Thursday Night iMPACT!” every Thursday from 9–11 p.m. ET, both on linear TV and AMC+. And yes, tickets for the premiere episode go on sale December 11, with a pre-sale starting December 9 via TNAWrestling.com.
“We put fans at the center of everything we do, and TNA has built its brand and its programming around that same dedication and focus,” added Dan McDermott, Chief Content Officer of AMC Networks. “What a great opportunity to come together and make Thursday Night iMPACT! a dynamic and entertaining weekly event on AMC and AMC+.”
But here’s the twist—WWE and TNA’s partnership may now be living on borrowed time. According to Avignon, WWE plans to end its working relationship with TNA, following the AMC deal’s activation of a 60-day termination clause in their agreement.
“With 1.15.26 set as the launch date, sources also indicate WWE intends to end its NXT–TNA partnership,” said Avignon. “Their agreement includes a 60-day termination clause, and the AMC deal activates it.”
That means the nearly two-year NXT–TNA relationship, which started when Jordynne Grace shocked the world by appearing in WWE NXT in May 2024, could officially wrap by early 2026.
AMC had already dropped hints this was coming. Just a day before the press release, their official social media teased a packed wrestling crowd with the date “1.15.26” across the screen—sending fans into instant speculation.
And there’s even more to come. TNA is hitting Albuquerque, New Mexico (home of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul) for back-to-back nights of live events on January 22–23, 2026, with both shows set to air on AMC. Tickets for those shows also go on sale December 11, with pre-sales on the 9th.
This isn’t just a new TV deal—it’s a full-blown relaunch with serious money behind it. And with WWE stepping aside, TNA has a golden shot at writing its own story, on its own stage, in prime time.
