TNA Wrestling has officially announced its first major match for 2026—Frankie Kazarian will defend the TNA World Championship against Mike Santana at Genesis.

The match was confirmed during the opening segment of the December 11, 2025 episode of iMPACT, Kazarian kicked off the show with his “King’s Speech” interview segment, but was interrupted by Santana, who made it clear he would be challenging for the title. The confrontation ended with the Genesis main event set: Kazarian vs. Santana for the TNA World Championship.

Genesis takes place Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Curtis Culwell Center in Dallas, Texas. The event comes just two days after the January 15 premiere of Thursday Night iMPACT on AMC, which will also broadcast from the same arena as part of TNA’s move from AXS TV to its new national television home.

The Genesis poster already features names like The Hardys, Leon Slater, Lei Ying Lee, Moose, Nic Nemeth, and current champions across the card. With a confirmed world title match now in place, TNA is positioning Genesis as the true kickoff for its AMC era.
