Alan Angels is officially a free agent—and he has been for months.

The former Dark Order member and AEW standout hasn’t appeared on TNA television in nearly half a year, leaving fans wondering what happened to him. While he’s still listed on the company’s official roster page, Fightful Select has now confirmed that Angels “was one of many talent that left the company in December, as his contract expired.”

Angels has been working the independent circuit since then, popping up at West Coast Pro, REVOLVER, and Prestige Wrestling. According to sources within TNA, the split was “amicable,” with no drama or heat between the two sides.

Though Angels kept a relatively low profile in TNA, he brought his unique in-ring style wherever he went—and now he’s got the freedom to do it anywhere.
