TNA Wrestling has officially confirmed what many suspected—Masha Slamovich is out of the Victory Road lineup, and her planned match has been replaced just hours before showtime. The announcement comes as Slamovich continues to deal with the fallout from serious domestic violence allegations made by her ex-partner AKIRA.
Instead of competing at tonight’s event, Slamovich has now been quietly removed from TNA programming altogether. The company revealed that Knockouts World Champion Ash By Elegance—formerly known as Dana Brooke—will now have a segment during Victory Road in Edmonton, Alberta, where she’ll make a special announcement live on TNA+ at 9PM ET. TNA made the announcement on social media, writing:
“BREAKING: TNA Knockouts World Champion @Ashamae_Sebera will have an announcement TONIGHT at #TNAVictoryRoad at 9pm ET LIVE on TNA+!”
The timing makes it clear—this segment is directly replacing Slamovich’s spot on the card, which had previously gone unacknowledged following the controversy. It also further signals TNA’s decision to move forward without Slamovich for the time being. Earlier reports indicated that she is no longer expected at any of the upcoming Impact tapings.
Several indie promotions, including Prestige Wrestling and West Coast Pro, have already pulled her from scheduled appearances. Now with TNA removing her from television entirely, it’s clear that companies across the board are distancing themselves in response to the allegations.
For Slamovich, what was once a strong run in TNA has completely unraveled in a matter of weeks. With no clear path back and no public response from her since the accusations surfaced, her wrestling future is now in limbo.
Was replacing her match with a promo segment the right call by TNA? Should Slamovich return once things are resolved, or is the damage already done? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know where you stand.
