Scratch one match off the Under Siege card—Steve Maclin won’t be defending the TNA International Championship this Friday after all.

On the May 22 episode of TNA iMPACT, Director of Authority Santino Marella broke the news backstage: the scheduled title bout between Steve Maclin and Matt Cardona is officially off the Under Siege lineup. The reason? Maclin still isn’t medically cleared after his brutal Dog Collar match with Eric Young a few weeks ago.

“Maclin is still not cleared,” Marella said during the segment, confirming that the champ remains sidelined due to lingering injuries from that bloody war. Instead of competing on the pay-per-view, Maclin will defend the title against Cardona on next Thursday’s episode of TNA iMPACT.

The match was originally one of the more anticipated bouts for Under Siege 2025, but TNA has opted to delay the clash rather than risk further injury. Maclin vs. Cardona will now headline the May 30 broadcast instead.

With the change, Under Siege loses a championship bout—but the rest of the card is still stacked. Still, fans hoping to see Cardona finally get his hands on gold will have to wait just a little longer.
