TNA Wrestling’s Slammiversary 2025 is already looking like a major moment for the company, but now President Carlos Silva might have just added rocket fuel to fan speculation with one carefully chosen word: phenomenal.
Earlier this week, Silva posted on social media that the UBS Arena event will be “TNA’s greatest achievement” and revealed production was shifting to allow more fans in the building. But it was one specific part of that post that sent longtime viewers into overdrive.
“We’re moving the stage back to accommodate more fans,” Silva wrote. “This event will be TNA’s greatest achievement and trust me it’s going to be PHENOMENAL.”
That choice of the word “phenomenal” had fans instantly connecting the dots to AJ Styles, whose nickname “The Phenomenal One” was born in TNA and still defines his brand in WWE. Online chatter exploded with theories about Styles possibly returning to the promotion that helped launch his global career.
Now, Silva has directly addressed that speculation—and while he didn’t confirm anything outright, he definitely didn’t shut it down either. In an interview with WrestleZone.com, Silva kept the energy high and left the door wide open.
“Really nothing more than what’s in the Tweet. It’s going to be a phenomenal night, and yeah, there’s someone, as you know, ‘Phenomenal’ is a big part of their walkout. We think it’s going to be a phenomenal night and see how it goes, but it’s exciting.”
While that comment stops short of naming names, the hint was loud and clear. Silva knows what he’s doing—and if AJ Styles does walk through that curtain at Slammiversary, it would be a full-circle moment that defines everything Silva claimed in his post.
With over 4,500 tickets already out the door, Slammiversary 2025 is already poised to be TNA’s biggest show of the modern era. But one “Phenomenal” surprise could change the entire trajectory of the company in one night.
