Carlos Silva might be calling the shots behind the scenes at TNA, but don’t expect to see him swinging a steel chair or taking a bump anytime soon.

At the end of his conversation with Ariel Helwani, the TNA President was asked if he’d ever step into the squared circle—not as a wrestler, but as part of an on-screen storyline like so many authority figures before him. Helwani lobbed the question with a smile.

“I’m wondering when you’re getting involved in the angles now. Like is someone going to hit you on the head with a guitar?”

Silva’s answer was quick and clear.

“Let’s hope not. I think being the president is enough.”

Helwani joked that Silva’s fitness level made him a good candidate for eventual physical involvement. Silva didn’t completely shut the door—but made it clear he’s not eager to become the next Mr. McMahon.

“We’ll remember this. I’ll be the president for right now.”

For now, Silva’s staying firmly on the business side of things. But as wrestling history has shown, no one in a suit is ever 100% safe from a storyline twist.
