D-Von Dudley will be competing in his final match, teaming up with Bully Ray to take on the Hardys at TNA Bound for Glory. There are still concerns about D-Von’s health and now TNA President Carlos Silva has addressed the same.
While speaking to Jon Alba on Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown, Carlos Silva said the match will be one of the main highlights of Bound for Glory, along with several title matches. He said having the Hardys and the Dudleys face each other one last time is something very special for wrestling fans.
“I think it’s just another piece of the way that we put together a great show at Bound For Glory. There’s going to be a bunch of title matches, as you know, and so the belts will be on the line. But I think that, you know, having the Hardys and the Dudleys together, it’s as big a legacy match as you could put together.”
Carlos Silva also talked about D-Von’s past health problems, including a stroke and spinal surgery. He said the company will only let the match happen if all the wrestlers are healthy and ready.
“Well, certainly make sure that all the athletes are healthy and feeling good, and not going to do anything if that doesn’t happen. But everyone has assured us that that’s the case. They wanted to do it. We liked the idea, and so it was great.”
This comes after D-Von Dudley made it clear he’s competing in one last match so that he doesn’t have any regret. Regardless, fans hope D-Von can safely compete in his final match and retire without any issue as his health remains the biggest concern even now.
