TNA iMPACT wasted no time honoring one of wrestling’s biggest legends. The July 24 episode—broadcast just hours after Hulk Hogan’s death—opened with a somber black-and-white screen featuring his image and the words “1953–2025.” The broadcast team briefly acknowledged his passing before the show rolled on.
It was a short but powerful moment, and it came on the same day Hogan tragically died from what was reported as cardiac arrest in Clearwater, Florida. EMTs were called to the WWE Hall of Famer’s home early in the morning, but the wrestling icon couldn’t be saved.
The decision to kick off iMPACT with a tribute carried even more meaning considering Hogan’s past with the company. Hogan worked for TNA from 2009 to 2013 during a pivotal period in the company’s growth. Now, in 2025, TNA and WWE are working together in a cross-promotional agreement—making the moment feel like a full-circle tribute to one of wrestling’s most recognizable names.
The moment said everything without having to say much at all.
