Since returning to its roots with the Hard to Kill pay-per-view in January, TNA Wrestling has experienced significant growth. The company’s next pay-per-view event, Final Resolution, promises to feature a lineup of exciting matches that fans won’t want to miss.
During Turning Point Nic Nemeth successfully defended his TNA World Title against Eddie Edwards from The System, thanks to interference from John Layfield. But the grind of being a champion continues. On the following iMPACT!, Nemeth faced a new challenger: AJ Francis, who’s been making headlines lately. Being a fighting champion, Nemeth accepted the challenge without hesitation. Therefore, fans are eagerly anticipating a lot of good action from this match as Francis will do everything he can do to become the TNA World Champion.
At Turning Point, Masha Slamovich won a brutal 2 Out of 3 Falls match against Jordynne Grace, retaining her Knockouts World Title. Grace’s struggles continued when she lost to Tasha Steelz on iMPACT!, following interference from Alisha Edwards. Steelz and Alisha attacked Grace after the match, but Slamovich came to her rescue. Steelz’s win earned her a title match against Slamovich at Final Resolution, so fans are waiting to see if Steelz has what it takes to dethrone Slamovich.
The Hardys became TNA World Tag Team Champions at Bound For Glory, defeating The System and ABC in a chaotic 3-Way Full Metal Mayhem match. Recently on iMPACT!, The System used their rematch clause, but the match ended when Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers sent The Hardys through a table and now, these rival teams will meet again at Final Resolution as The Hardys defend their TNA Tag Team Titles against The System, so we’ll have to see who will come out on top in the end.
Moose won his first X-Division Championship by defeating Mike Bailey. After a successful defense against Laredo Kid at Turning Point, a new challenger emerged as KUSHIDA won a 5-way match against Ace Austin, Trent Seven, Leon Slater, and JDC to become the #1 Contender. Moose and KUSHIDA will collide at Final Resolution and it’s expected to be one of the best matches of the night.
At Final Resolution, four of TNA’s top stars—Joe Hendry, Josh Alexander, Mike Santana, and Steve Maclin—will face off in a 4-way match to determine the next challenger for the TNA World Championship at Genesis. It’s every wrestler for themselves in this no-limits showdown, so it remains to be seen who will walk out as the #1 contender for the TNA World Championship.
After her grueling match against Masha Slamovich at Turning Point, Jordynne Grace faced Tasha Steelz on iMPACT! but lost due to Alisha Edwards’ interference. Rosemary was spotted ominously watching the match from above. Grace now prepares to face Rosemary at Final Resolution and the two have a lot of history together, so it’s expected to be a very personal match.
After betraying Mike Bailey, Trent Seven teamed up with Hammerstone and Jake Something. Together they defeated The Hardys and Ace Austin in a six-man tag team match. Tensions between Seven and Austin escalated during a 5-way X-Division Contenders match, setting up their singles bout at Final Resolution, so fans are looking forward to the match in a big way.
At Final Resolution, three teams will battle to build momentum for a future title shot. Competing are The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel), the new team of PCO and Sami Callihan, and the powerhouse team of Jake Something and Hammerstone.
Elsewhere, Frankie Kazarian will square off against Jonathan Gresham. After Kazarian attacked Gresham with the Call Your Shot trophy during an 8-man tag, Gresham gets a shot at revenge at Final Resolution.
In another match, Leon Slater will duke it out with JDC in what’s expected to be a high-flying spectacle for fans to enjoy.
Tonight’s TNA Final Resolution event promises to deliver high drama, incredible matchups, and storylines that will keep fans on the edge of their seats.
