TNA might be on the verge of a major shakeup as a wave of contract expirations looms — including one of its biggest acts, The Hardy Boyz.
Matt and Jeff Hardy have been riding a massive career resurgence. They’ve captured the TNA, NXT, and House of Glory Tag Team Championships, and are set to collide with the Dudley Boyz at Bound for Glory. But behind the scenes, their future with TNA is hanging in the balance.
The legendary duo re-signed with TNA in November 2024, but according to Fightful Select, those were just one-year deals. Sources inside TNA say the partnership has worked well for both sides, especially when it comes to fan interaction. TNA sources told Fightful Select:
“The deal has been mutually beneficial and a lot of positive has emerged from it. The Hardys have regularly stayed hours after TNA shows to fulfill heavily in-demand meet and greets.”
That goodwill might not be enough to guarantee they stick around. Unless a new extension was quietly reached, their current deals expire next month — and the company is hopeful, but not certain, that they’ll re-sign.
And it’s not just the Hardys. Sources within TNA have revealed that “no less than a dozen” contracts are set to expire between now and the end of the year. That includes several names already reported, such as the IInspiration and Cedric Alexander. Many are expected to stay, but nothing’s official until the ink is dry.
TNA’s roster could look very different in 2025 if these deals don’t get renewed — and that might include saying goodbye to the most decorated tag team of their generation.
