Titus O’Neil may not be lacing up his boots every week, but he’s far from done with WWE.
According to Fightful Select, the former WWE Tag Team Champion is “still affiliated with the company” despite not being part of any active in-ring plans. While WWE currently has no intention of booking him for regular matches, Titus hasn’t shut the door on returning to the squared circle.
In fact, O’Neil has made it clear to Fightful “a number of times” that he’s open to wrestling again “under the right circumstances.”
Since signing with WWE in 2009, Titus carved out a versatile career, starting with his appearance on the second season of the original NXT in 2010. He later found success on the main roster alongside Darren Young as The Prime Time Players, capturing the WWE Tag Team Titles in 2015.
He also had solo runs and led the “Titus Worldwide” faction before stepping away from active competition in late 2020. Since then, O’Neil has taken on a high-profile ambassador role, representing WWE at major corporate and charity events across the globe.
O’Neil’s reputation off the mat is just as strong as it was inside the ring. He received the Warrior Award at the 2021 Hall of Fame ceremony (honoring the Class of 2020), recognizing his extensive philanthropic work and impact in the community.
Whether or not we see Titus back in the ring again remains to be seen—but if the circumstances are right, don’t be surprised if the Prime Time Player makes one more run.
