Kazuchika Okada just made one thing clear—Mike Bailey isn’t calling him out, because Okada was already the one doing the calling.
During the May 21 episode of AEW Dynamite, The Rainmaker officially addressed his upcoming AEW Continental Championship defense at Double or Nothing. The champion didn’t rant, yell, or insult—but the intent was unmistakable. “You don’t get to call me out,” Okada said. “Because I was calling you out.”
And with that, the match is set: Okada vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey goes down this Sunday, May 25, live from the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. This will be Bailey’s first shot at AEW gold, and he’s going up against a man who’s carved out a reputation as one of the most elite wrestlers in the world.
Bailey has been making a name for himself since arriving in AEW, but stepping into the ring with Okada is a different level. Okada’s not just defending a belt—he’s defending his legacy. And if his Dynamite statement was any indication, he’s not giving up that title without a fight.
