Tiffany Stratton has been working as a babyface for several months, but many fans have criticized her for still acting like a heel and not changing her character. Despite the ongoing criticism, Stratton has now revealed her reason for keeping her character the same.
While speaking to Busted Open Radio, Tiffany Stratton was asked about criticism that her character doesn’t connect with fans when she plays a babyface since she’s still acting like a heel.
Stratton defended herself, stating that she started getting cheered in Australia last year, and now those cheers have followed her to the United States. She questioned why she should change anything if her “Mean Girl” persona is working and fans are enjoying it.
The WWE Women’s Champion added that if she suddenly started acting like a babyface, that might be the moment fans turn on her and start booing. For that reason, she sees no need to change her approach.
“I got cheered starting in Australia, and now it’s made its way to America. Why would I change anything? Should I start acting different if the Mean Girl persona is working and people are actually liking it and cheering me? I feel like if I suddenly start acting like a good guy, that’s when people will turn on me and start booing. So why would I change anything? Don’t fix what isn’t broken.”
Many fans will likely agree with what Tiffany Stratton had to say since people still clearly cheer for her despite her heel-ish mannerisms. Therefore, we’ll have to see if she does end up changing her gimmick eventually.
