Tiffany Stratton is owning up to the promo that sent shockwaves through the WWE locker room — and she’s not backing down from the heat.

During a recent appearance on IMPAULSIVE, the former WWE Women’s Champion addressed the real-life fallout from her now-infamous line aimed at Charlotte Flair’s failed marriages, which recently aired on WWE: Unreal and originally went down live on SmackDown.

The segment saw both Stratton and Flair take unscripted shots at each other, with Tiffany referencing Flair being “0-3 in marriages,” and Charlotte clapping back by bringing up Stratton’s DMs. The exchange was so personal that Triple H stepped in backstage and told staff to tell Tiffany she had crossed a line and needed to apologize. Stratton reflected on that tense moment and confirmed the intensity wasn’t just for show.

“Charlotte Flair is Charlotte Flair. She’s a legend. And I was the champion at the time. Things were heated. She’s very competitive, I’m also very competitive. I’m trying to prove to Charlotte Flair that I can go, I can stand up to her, I’m worthy of this title. So yeah, sht got heated. We both went off script. It happens.”*

While the situation blew up quickly, Tiffany says she had no problem making amends once she understood the impact of her words.

“I did have to apologize. And that was that.”

When asked if it was hard to own up to the mistake, Stratton gave a surprisingly grounded response.

“No. I’m someone that can like fully embrace being in the wrong. I had no problem apologizing.”

Still, she admitted she’s not totally convinced she was entirely in the wrong for taking the shot.

“Yes and no. I think what I did was justified, but maybe I shouldn’t have gone that far. But I do feel like I was justified in what I did.”

Backstage drama like this adds fuel to WWE storylines, but it also reveals the very real emotions that can bubble up behind the curtain. Even Triple H was shown on Unreal saying it was “not how we do this,” insisting the two women smooth things over.

Tiffany Stratton’s willingness to speak on it — and own her part in the drama — may signal just how serious WWE takes its boundaries, even when the heat is real. As for Charlotte Flair, it’s clear the jab left its mark, but the two have since moved on.
