Thunder Rosa hasn’t forgotten about the promotion she helped build from the ground up—and it looks like she’s ready to bring it back to life.
The AEW star opened up during an interview with Midnight Movie Trash, confirming that she’s actively working to revive Mission Pro Wrestling, the all-women’s promotion she co-founded in 2020. The company has been on hiatus since August 2023, but that could be changing very soon.
“Mission Pro Wrestling was a promotion that we created in 2020 and we were basically focusing on promoting women, women wrestlers. And unfortunately, I had to take—or we as a group had to take—a hiatus. So we haven’t brought it up back together, but I’m working on doing that pretty soon.”
Thunder Rosa also reflected on the legacy Mission Pro has already built in a short time—showcasing numerous wrestlers who have gone on to bigger stages.
“But we have so many memories. You guys can go [to] Mission Pro Wrestling [and] check all the matches online. They’re there. You’ll be blown away. There’s so many people that have gone to bigger and better platforms due to being part of Mission Pro Wrestling.”
The promotion became known for spotlighting female wrestlers from across the independent scene, with shows that received strong praise for both in-ring action and representation. With Thunder Rosa back in control and healthier than before, fans may not have to wait long for the next chapter.
