Thunder Rosa wants Britt Baker’s hair on the line at AEW All In: Texas—but it looks like she didn’t run that idea past AEW before putting it out there.
Rosa dropped the challenge on Busted Open Radio and then doubled down on her vlog, proposing a hair vs. hair match with her longtime rival Britt Baker for the July 12 pay-per-view in Arlington, Texas. The two haven’t crossed paths on-screen in over a year, but Rosa made it clear she’s not done with the good doctor just yet.
On the June 99 episode of the Fightful Report podcast, Sean Ross Sapp responded to a fan question about the match being legitimate or something Rosa dreamed up on her own. He said Rosa didn’t go rogue per se—but she definitely acted without AEW creative’s input.
“I wouldn’t say going rogue, but certainly cutting her own angle. But she understands that she and Britt Baker have been money together and they have a very special thing and a very real thing.”
The challenge wasn’t coordinated or pitched to AEW beforehand, according to Sapp. It was more Rosa taking the initiative to drum up interest in what has long been one of AEW’s most personal feuds.
On her vlog, Rosa said there were two reasons for the challenge: attention and legacy. She knows this kind of stipulation draws money—and she loves the fact that Baker can’t shake her name.
“Hair versus hair, you know, um, against my, uh, my nemesis Britt Baker for All In. And the reason why I’m doing it is, one, well, because I know there’s money on the table. But two, she’s bonded by blood with me. She cannot get rid of my name no matter what happens—ever. And that gives me a lot of pleasure, too.”
Baker hasn’t appeared on AEW TV since November 2024, so it remains to be seen whether she’ll respond to Rosa’s challenge—or if AEW will pick it up and run with it.
Whether this turns into a real match or just another public callout, Thunder Rosa just made sure fans are talking about her feud with Britt Baker again. Now the ball’s in AEW’s court.
