Thekla is not trying to be polished, and that might end up costing her a thousand bucks if she decides to let one fly on live AEW television.
During a conversation with Adrian Hernandez, the AEW Women’s World Champion was asked about the confidence and attitude fans have seen from her lately. Thekla has been getting attention every time she grabs a microphone, especially with the way she fires off “dumb b*tches” like it is second nature. Hernandez asked where that aura comes from, and Tekla kept it simple.
“To finally not giving a f**.”*
That pretty much explains Tekla’s whole vibe right now. She is loud, loose, and clearly having fun with it, but even she knows there is still a line on live television. Tekla admitted she tries not to go too crazy on AEW programming because dropping the wrong word could hit her wallet. That did not stop her from joking that she may just save up for the fine and do it anyway.
“Obviously, I try not to be too extreme when I go out there because it’s still TV. So, and I’m just I’m not ready to get fined a thousand bucks for saying the F-word like on live television. I might actually save up and just do it at some point. You know, it’s kind of worth it.”
Thekla also explained that her whole “dumb bitch” delivery is not some corporate-approved catchphrase cooked up backstage. It is just how she talks, and AEW fans are starting to catch on.
“Other than that, it’s just confidence going out there and trying to have as much fun as possible. And that’s my definition of fun is going out there and calling everybody dumb bitches. You know, that’s my thing.”
Hernandez also asked about the way she says it, because the delivery has become part of the hook. Thekla said the accent and intonation are just natural.
“I think it’s that mix of that slight German accent that I have and the way, like, the intonation. It’s what comes out naturally. So, I’m just going with that. That’s how I talk in real life, too, honestly.”
Thekla is heading into AEW Forbidden Door with the AEW Women’s World Championship around her waist and Starlight Kid waiting for her. She is also walking in with a microphone style that feels like it could get expensive real fast if she stops holding back.
Thekla knows exactly what is getting a reaction, and she does not sound scared of pushing it further. If anything, she sounds like someone who might treat a $1,000 fine as the price of doing business if the moment feels right.
What do you think about Thekla joking that she might save up just to drop the F-word on AEW TV? Should AEW let her push the line, or should she keep it just clean enough for television? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comments section below.
