Thekla just made a serious impact—and some shady new friends—on the July 16th episode of AEW Dynamite, walking away with a $100,000 win and the backing of Julia Hart and Skye Blue.
In a chaotic four-way match against Queen Aminata, Willow Nightingale, and Kris Statlander, it was Thekla who ended up with the cash. But her win didn’t come without a little darkness. As Willow and Statlander brawled outside the ring, Queen Aminata was in full control of Thekla—until Skye Blue strolled down to ringside. That distraction was all it took for Julia Hart to slide in and blast Aminata in the face with her signature black mist.
With Aminata stunned, Thekla wasted no time. “The Toxic Spider” nailed a stomp to Aminata’s head and scored the win—pocketing six figures in the process. After the bell, Hart and Blue entered the ring to raise Thekla’s hand, sealing their new alliance in front of a stunned Chicago crowd.
This isn’t their first rodeo together. Thekla previously teamed with Hart, Athena, and Megan Bayne at AEW Collision 100, where they scored a win over Aminata, TayJay, and Thunder Rosa. Though they fell short the following week, it’s clear AEW is doubling down on this wicked faction.
Julia Hart and Skye Blue have been a sinister pairing since December 2023, when Hart was still part of the House of Black. Now, with Thekla in the mix, they just got more venomous.
Thekla’s victory wasn’t clean, but it definitely sent a message—she’s here to collect checks and build alliances, no matter how toxic they might be.
